This is a group that I created (see original EA Forum and LessWrong posts) in September 2022, after spending a few weeks in Berkeley getting involved with the AI safety community, and participating in MLAB. I found that having people around works wonders for accountability and motivation, particularly when trying to skill up in a field as young and pre-paradigmatic as AI safety. I hoped that this group would provide accountability and motivation, to help people stick to the targets they set for themselves, whether that be:

This is how you can view everyone who filled out the members directory form. You can click on any of the boxes to see someone’s profile in more detail, including information like their accountability preferences, what they’re skilling up in, the best ways to contact them, etc.

Here, you can see a grid view of all the accountability groups, so you can find one that might suit your needs. It’s important that you checke with the current members of the group before you join it, e.g. because they might have a preference for keeping it at the current size.
